Time Flies!

Wow...long time since I last posted.

Lots of stuff going on. Work sucks, I basically feel like I don't have a life now. Granted, I didn't have a life BEFORE I started working at HD, but that was my choice....now I don't have a life, it's worse than before, and it is NOT by choice.

Some good news regarding Grov and I...we are in the process of getting me a Visa so I can move to the US and we can get married...Yay Us :)

And that's about it really. No time to do anything much anymore.

Virginia Is For Lovers

Yay! I will once again be headed down to Virginia on Friday. This time I am driving down and I'll be there for 10 days. I can't wait, and I am so jumpy right now that I could just get in the car and drive down there! But, alas, both Grov and I must wait. But it will be worth the wait, because when I see him I am going to hug him and kiss him and never want to let him go...well, for a little while anyway ;)

Yay Job!

So my instincts were right :) Got me a Job at the Home Depot (from now on, HD).
Ok, so I was wrong on one thing...I'm not working in the Paint Department. I was supposed to but the Store Manager (from now on, the Boss) didn't think I was suited for it...said I was intelligent and instead made me a "Special Services Associate". Basically: Service Desk, but along with a lot more responsibility. I thought cool...it'll look better on a resume I think.

The sucky part? Only $9/hr. Oh well...I needed a job, and it will pay my bills. Just won't leave me with a lot when I move to the US.

So yay...I finally got a job. Can I get a woo woo??? :P

Possible Job x2

So I went for the job interview on Friday. I got there early, like I usually do for that kind of stuff...hey, it's better to be early and show them that you are reliable right? Anyway, get there, go into the trailer that Home Depot has set up in the parking lot because they are still building the place, tell the lady sitting at the desk who I am and she tells me to have a seat. Okeedokee.
So we go through a bunch of pre-set questions...I'm good with my answers, throw in a few jokes and whatnot, make a good impression and she tells me "ok, we'd like you to come back for a THIRD interview on Tuesday to meet with the Store Manager". *sigh* I was hoping she would have said "Congratulations, you start on this date" so I could have gone down to Virginia, but no...I have to wait, yet again lol.

I'm thinking, no one is that evil that they would make me come back for a Third Interview, with the Store Manager to-boot, only to be told no you don't have a job...so I'm thinking I'm going to be working at Home Depot for a little while...yay!

Oh, the funniest thing happened. During my initial interview, I mentioned I like to paint...so when I went for this last interview, she says "So you want to work in the paint department?" Uhhhh...Ok! lol

The only thing that is probably going to suck is that they will make me Part Time so they don't have to give benefits. I don't care, as long as I can get at least 35hrs a week, and $10 or more an hour, I'll be happy.

So do I have a job?? Possibly, leaning towards a yes.....but I don't want to assume anything!

ok...so I don't want to jinx it.
I got a phone call for a second interview with Home Depot. They are opening a new store in the next town over and I went to a job fair for them two weekends ago. Did really well in the screening interview (basically the 'interview' to pick out all the unwanted or scary people haha)
So the interview is Friday at 1:30pm and I'm kinda nervous, but not, because I did so well the first time. I mean, I have the personality, I've been involved in sports since I was like 5 so I know all about team play, and heck, I've even got warehouse experience...so I'm qualified...Dammit! lol

I just want this job so I can have something until I move down to the US. It's not a permanent thing, and that isn't what I was looking for anyway, so if I get this, it will be just right :)
